Dominique Liquière (1959–1992) was a French actor and stage director trained at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, where he distinguished himself through precise and disciplined acting. He joined the Comédie‑Française in 1987 as a pensionnaire and performed a wide range of roles from both the classical and contemporary repertoire, notably in La Poudre aux yeux, Le Véritable Saint‑Genest, Life of Galileo, and Le Café. His work was recognized for its discipline, clarity of interpretation, and his ability to meet the demands of the most rigorous productions. Alongside his acting career, he directed a well‑received staging of La Dame de Monsoreau, confirming his strong sense of actor direction. He also appeared on television in several productions during the 1980s, but remained above all a man of the theatre, committed to ensemble work and artistic transmission.
